Student-led Research, Scholarly, and Creative Project Grants/Awards

 

Applications for the following grants and awards will be accepted from February 1 - March 1:

  • Hooper Undergraduate Research Awards 

  • Urdea Collaborative Research Awards

  • Student-led Projects in the Arts, Creative Activity, & Scholarship Awards

  • W.E.B. Du Bois Emerging Scholars Fellowship

  • Green Fund Research Grants

Items to note:

  • Proposals will be accepted for the Hooper and Urdea Undergraduate Research Awards and the Student-led Projects in the Arts, Creative Activity, and Scholarship program from February 1 - March 1 at 11:59 p.m.  
  • To be fair to all applicants, no late submissions will be accepted.  Additionally, your name and identifying details will not be provided to reviewers to ensure a completely blind and fair review process.
  • You may log in to view/edit your proposal until March 1 at 11:59 p.m.
  • Once you enter your faculty mentor's name and email address and send the request, an email will automatically be sent requesting that they complete a recommendation.
  • You are also required to submit the name of a discipline representative from the field/area in which the project will be conducted.  They will be asked to provide a recommendation on the importance of the proposed work to the discipline.  They will not be asked to answer questions specific to you or your ability to carry out the project.  As with the faculty mentor, once you send the request, an email will automatically be sent requesting that they complete the recommendation.
  • Once your recommendations have been submitted, you will receive an email confirmation.  You may also log in to check if the recommendation has been submitted.  
  • It is the student's responsibility to make sure both the faculty and department recommendations are submitted by the March 1st deadline.  It is recommended that you follow up with your mentor and department contact if they have not been completed by February 26th.
  • Award recipients will be announced the week of April 13, 2026.
  • All applicants will be able to view feedback from the reviewers by logging in to the submission portal once the recipients are announced.
